VASCO: After quitting as Minister following his alleged involvement in sex scandal, MLA Milind Naik on Thursday held a show of strength at Sada, Mormugao where his supporters and workers warned Congress leaders not to tarnish the image of their leader.

A large of number of Naik’s supporters and workers from Mormugao constituency gathered at Headland Sada and claimed that the allegations against the Minister were far from truth and accused Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Girish Chodankar and vice president Sankalp Amonkar of playing dirty politics to gain mileage ahead of the Assembly elections. The supporters and workers also burnt the effigies of Chodankar and Amonkar.
Mormugao BJP Mandal president Sanjay Sartadekar said, “Allegations during the time of elections is not new at all. Also during 2017 elections Amonkar hatched conspiracy and made false molestation charges against our MLA Milind Naik fearing defeat. Again, this time they are making similar attempts to malign our MLA, but we are with our MLA as we know how he is. The only thing is that this time they stooped so low that even Almighty won’t forgive such people who are using dirty politics to win elections.”
Former Mormugao councilor Murari Bandekar said that he was with Amonkar in 2017 Assembly polls and was the eyewitness to how Amonkar hatched fake rape case conspiracy against Naik just before the elections.
Alleging that Amonkar was playing dirty politics, Bandekar said that Amonkar will never win elections if he continues with such dirty politics.
