PONDA: The body of 15-year-old Aryan Premchanda Goud, a Class IX student of Sharada English High School, Marcel, who was reported feared drowned on Sunday, was found floating on Monday morning.
Ponda Police recovered the body and after the post-mortem, the same was handed over for final rites.
It may be recalled that Aryan along with his two brothers had gone for a bath in Khandola River at around 4.30 pm on Sunday. Aryan, a UP native, was residing at Khandola in rented room along with father and brothers.
According to Ponda PSI Rohan Nageshkar, all three brothers were bathing near the river bank. However, Aryan, who did not know to swim, jumped from the canoe into river. As he failed to come out of the water, the two brothers raised an alarm and the people immediately informed the Ponda Police.
