MLA files plaint over false info on social media

MARGAO: Nuvem MLA and South Goa Planning and Development Authority (SGPDA) Chairman Wilfred D’Sa has filed a complaint with the cyber cell alleging fabricating lies and spreading false information and morphed photos through social media to paint a wrong image about him of selling formalin laced fish.

The SGPDA chairman has alleged that this is an attempt to spoil and tarnish his image.

“I came to know of a message circulating on WhatsApp and received the same on my WhatsApp number mentioning that one person Ahmed from Margao is selling formalin laced fish with my support. I have never clicked any photo with the said person nor supported any such persons and some other unknown person has done the same for political motives with involvement of other persons to spoil my name and malign me who has to be traced and booked under the law,” clarified Babashan.

Wilfred has requested the police to immediately take action as per the law.
