Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai has questioned the delay in suspending Sancoale Village Panchayat Secretary Orville Vales despite confirmed complaints. Sardesai informed the House that the Vigilance Department had acknowledged receiving complaints against Vales and had reportedly issued directions for his suspension.
Raising the issue during the Assembly session, Sardesai asked why the Panchayat Secretary continues to remain in office, hinting at administrative inaction or possible shielding.

Responding to the concerns, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant assured the House that he would call for the relevant file and personally examine the matter.
