MARGAO: After a day-long drama on Saturday, Damodar Shirodkar, Chairperson of the Margao Municipal Council, changed his mind and decided not to resign from his post, as the issue ‘has been sorted out’ on Sunday.
Shirodkar informed O Heraldo that he had a meeting with Congress-turned-BJP MLA Digambar Kamat on Sunday afternoon, wherein the MLA clarified that all the misunderstandings were due to a lack of coordination.

It may be recalled that on Saturday, Shirodkar had announced his intention to resign because the Margao MLA had sidelined him at a meeting called with the officials of the civic body in a Margao hotel. “This afternoon, I had a meeting with the Margao MLA upon which I changed my decision to quit the post,” said Shirodkar.
