MMC may rebuild compound wall at Headland Sada after poll code

VASCO: The compound wall of the Mormugao solid waste dump site at Headland Sada which collapsed last monsoon is likely to be reconstructed after the model code of conduct.
On account of the wall collapse, stray cattle, dogs and other scavengers have been feasting on the garbage flowing from the dump site. When questioned on sorry state of affairs at the dump site, MMC Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes informed that the compound wall at the dump site collapsed last monsoon. The council has prepared the estimates to reconstruct the same and the proposal, which was sent to Directorate of Municipal Administration, has been approved. The tendering process is underway and the work is likely to start after code of conduct.
