Moira witnessed an overwhelming public response at a specially convened Gram Sabha, where more than 280 members participated and unanimously resolved to oppose the proposed urbanisation of the village.During the meeting, residents expressed concern that urbanisation could adversely impact Moira’s traditional character, environment, agricultural lands, and overall quality of life. Members stressed the need to preserve the village’s heritage, green cover, and rural identity for future generations.Following detailed discussions, the Gram Sabha unanimously passed a resolution objecting to the urbanisation of Moira. The resolution reflects the collective stand of the villagers, who have urged the authorities to respect the wishes of the local community and safeguard the village from developmental changes that they believe could alter its unique character.The large turnout at the meeting highlighted the strong public sentiment and unity among residents on the issue.
