Inspection Row Erupts as Owner Blocks Complainants, Panchayat to File Police Complaint

Tensions flared in Mollem after a scheduled inspection of Parsekar Food at Palaskata could not be carried out, officials said.

The inspection, organised by the local panchayat, was disrupted after the company’s owner, Prabhanjan Parsekar, allegedly refused to allow local complainants to be present during the process. The move sparked anger among residents who had gathered at the site.

According to the Panchayat Secretary, the inspection cannot proceed in the absence of the complainants, as their presence is necessary for the process. He further stated that a complaint would now be lodged against the company at the police station.

Meanwhile, responding to the allegations, the owner maintained that all required permissions for the project are in place. He also claimed that the opposition to the project is politically motivated.

The development has added to the ongoing dispute surrounding the project, with further action expected from authorities.
