VASCO: The Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) has identified 31 black spots in its 25 wards. These spots are prone to haphazard garbage dumping. MMC plans to beautify these spots to stop the garbage dumping by unknown persons.
Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes praised former councillor Anil Chopdekar for his efforts to clear garbage dumping site, by painting the walls with messages of Swachh Bharat at Mangor Hill.
The Chief Officer has urged the activists and residents to identify such black spots in their areas and emulate the work of former Councillor at like Mangor Hill.
“Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in Vasco will get a boost with the help of such excellent work. Identifying black spots and changing its history is our mission. Every resident should participate in it,” Chief Officer said and added that the MMC will try to beautify such spots to stop dumping of garbage.
