MARGAO: Residents of Moti Dongor cried foul over the demolition order passed by the Comunidade Administrator, even as the Aquem Comunidade welcomed the decision.
“The demolition order is illegal. The Administrator has to respect the High Court. We have already informed the Administrator in our reply that we have filed a review petition to consider rehabilitation which the court had asked the government. Today, the High Court has issued the notice to the government and hence the matter is sub-judice,” contended one of the parties, Maula Balabatti. He said they will wait for the court to pass an order on their petition, while reposing full faith in the judiciary.
Meanwhile, the Attorney of Aquem Comunidade Celestin Noronha welcomed the order passed by the Comunidade Administrator. “We welcome the demolition order,” he said.
