Mulgao Villagers Threaten to Halt Mining Over Unresolved Demands in Bicholim

Residents of Mulgao in Bicholim taluka have resolved to stop mining operations in the area if their long-pending demands are not addressed by the authorities. The decision was taken during a special village meeting held on Sunday.

Villagers stated that despite repeated assurances from officials, several key issues remain unresolved. Among their primary demands are the proper demarcation of the buffer zone in accordance with the 2021 Regional Plan and a halt to night-time mining activities, which residents say are disrupting daily life.
