MARGAO: The ambitious multi-level parking project estimated to cost nearly Rs 8 crore have been trapped due to Goa Scheduled Rates (GSR) and Goods and Services Taxes (GST). However, the new Margao Municipal Council will be deliberating on the issue in the next council meeting, scheduled in the first week of July.
The newly-elected Chairperson of Margao Municipal Council Lyndon Pereira is to be believed pushing the project before the council, so that trapped multi-level parking facility sees the light of the day.
Reportedly, the civic body had laid the foundation stone for the multi-level parking project on September 15, 2015, behind the municipal building.
Lyndon said that the council will discuss and take a decision on the issue in the next council meeting which is scheduled in the first week of July.
