MARGAO: Accused Agnelo Naik, resident of Borda-Margao who was arrested by Margao police for alleged attempt to murder Devang Gosalia on April 16 afternoon has been remanded to custody after being produced before Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao on Friday.
The incident is said to have taken place at Borda on April 16 afternoon when alleged accused Naik noticed Gosalia at Borda and attacked him on head with a sharp weapon causing injury. The cause of attack is said to be previous enmity as Naik had been caught red handed by Gosalia while stealing petrol. Based upon complaint filed by Gosalia offence under sections 341, 504, 324, 506(ii) and 307 IPC has been registered against Naik and ASI Chandrakant Velip is investigating.
