Goa Police has issued traffic advisory in the view of PM Modi’s visit to Goa for the inaugural ceremony of 37th National Games. SP traffic Akshat Kaushal on Wednesday briefed about the traffic flow, affected roads and alternate routes for the commuters.
Public travelling to Dabolim Airport and those travelling between North and South Goa will not face inconvenience due to restrictions on traffic in view of VVIP movements linked with National Games inauguration, assured SP Traffic Akshat Kaushal.

He said alternate roads have been designated to avoid inconvenience to commuters. 800 traffic police personnel will be deployed to oversee the traffic management, he added. Traffic on the roads where VVIP movement is scheduled will be affected from 5 pm to 9 pm traffic, he informed. Blocking of roads will be done for maximum of half-an-hour during arrival and departure of movement of VVIP, he added.
The inaugural event from 2.30 pm to 8.30 pm will impact traffic on various roads, including the National Highway-566, NH-66, and other key routes. There will be no parking for all kinds of vehicles along the route from Fatorda’s Wholesale fish market towards Ravindra Bhavan-Arlem Junction, or in the open space opposite KTC bus stand, states the advisory. Alternate routes to Dabolim Airport have been provided for travellers.
