National Science Day celebrated at Ponda School

PONDA: The students of M E F’s Fatima High School and M E F’s Higher secondary school of Science Ponda, put up models, exhibits, creative posters, Powerpoint presentations, coding, mathematics corner,waste intelligence zone and nutri millets corner, on the occasion of National Science day on February 28. The day is celebrated to commemorate the discovery of the Raman effect by one of the renowned physicists of India, Sir CV Raman.

This exhibition comprised a number of innovative creations. Students were also awarded for the best projects.

Atul Atchut Naik while addressing the students said Science and Technology should be used to solve the current societal problems and should not be misused. 

Arshi Adil (IPS), Deputy Superintendent of Police, was  chief guest for the inaugural function.

Principal  Dr Fatima Mulla welcomed the guests and explained the importance of the day. Asst Prof Dr Sanket Gaonkar, Asst Prof Dr Kiran Gaude, Asst Prof Sameer Patil and Atul Atchut Naik and Abbas Mullam were the special invitees for the day.

Afzal Mulla chairman of the institution was also present for the function. the vote of thanks was proposed by Assistant Headmistress Maria Santimano.
