MARGAO: The Navelim gram sabha besides constituting the Biodiversity Committee on Sunday resolved to carry out a verification drive through a special committee to find out the details of tenants residing in the village either on rental basis or having purchased apartments.
The increasing number of migrants in the village was hotly discussed and the various problems caused by them to the local inhabitants were discussed. Their loud and obnoxious behavior under the influence of alcohol was discussed.
The manner in which they dirty the village by dumping garbage and litter anywhere and everywhere was also discussed and finally it was decided to set up a committee that would conduct a survey of the whole village to identify the migrants.
Villagers also discussed the linking of Aadhar card.
