NCB Investigation: Pregnant Woman Granted Interim Protection Until October 12

A court has granted interim protection until October 12 to a woman facing an investigation by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The decision takes into account her pregnancy and the fact that she has a one-year-old child. According to her counsel, Advocate Raju Poulekar, she received a notice under Section 67 of the NDPS Act and subsequently sought anticipatory bail. Although the court instructed her to fully cooperate with the ongoing probe, no illicit substances have been recovered from her possession thus far. Her formal bail plea will be heard once authorities file their official reply.
