MARGAO: The decision of South Goa Zilla Panchayat Chairperson Nelly Rodrigues to withhold her signature on the RDA audit report was questioned by Velim MLA Benjamin D’Silva on Thursday.
During discussions at the District Planning Committee (DPC) meeting in the district Collectorate on Thursday, the Velim MLA sought to know the rationale behind Nelly’s decision to reject request of the RDA to sign the audit report.
A visibly perturbed Nelly, however, justified her decision, demanding to know how she can sign the audit report when she is totally kept in the dark over RDA projects.
“When I was completely kept in the dark on RDA schemes, how can you expect me to sign the audit report?” Nelly asked.
