The ODP also proposes to convert the food godown belonging to the Directorate of Civil Supplies into a multi-level pay parking zone.
Speaking to the media, Panjim MLA and chairman of the ODP sub-committee Siddharth Kuncolienkar said that the draft ODP will be sent to the government next week for approval. “Parking is a major issue the city is facing. Hence, we have proposed special residential and commercial zones in the areas, where old housing colonies exist. We will give them FAR up to 200 percent provided one floor is reserved for parking,” he said.
The sub-committee has also incorporated the Smart City proposal and the Master Plan in the ODP. The plan was kept open for public suggestions and comments in May.
