PANJIM: Amidst growing demand from the students and parents for holding fresh Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET), Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar clarified that the GCET held on May 10 and 11 would be considered as only entrance for medical this year.
“There is no question of holding fresh GCET. I had made it clear in the beginning itself that we would fight before Supreme Court to consider GCET this year and NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) from next year,” he said.
“Or else allow those students who answered NEET I also to appear for NEET II, which will be held on July 24. Government had clearly told students to prepare for GCET and answer it,” Parsekar said.
Chief Minister said that the students who got less marks for GCET are demanding for fresh exams and it is not possible.
