PANJIM: Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar denied that there would be any reshuffle of portfolios till 2017, when Goa goes to the polls.
He also maintained that BJP-MGP alliance will remain strong till the term ends. The Chief Minister also claimed that his party will review the ties during the polls even as MGP had assured to keep the alliance with BJP for 10 years.
“We will not allocate or reshuffle portfolios of any ministers till 2017,” he said, amidst rumours of shunting Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza as Rajasthan Governor.
Responding to another question before addressing a gathering of BJP workers in the capital on Wednesday, Parsekar said, “We will review our ties during the Assembly elections. For now, we are together till 2017.” Asked about MGP’s claim of maintaining its alliance with BJP for 10 years, he said the regional party has not conveyed this message to them.
The MGP, in March 2014, had said they would maintain their alliance with BJP for 10 years.

Deputy CM Francis D’Souza also stated that they would continue the alliance with MGP and that there is a proposal for seat sharing in the forthcoming Zilla Panchayat election.
