NUSI hospital opens OPD in Margao

NUSI Wockhardt hospital has launched an Out Patient department services at Mabai hotel, Margao.
The Wockhardt medical centre was launched on Saturday at the hands of the President of Indian Medical Association, Dr Gladstone D’Costa in the presence of South Goa Additional Collector, Prasanna Acharya.
In his address, Dr Gladstone emphasized on the efforts of NUSI Wockhardt hospitals for setting up a super speciality tertiary care consultation under one roof for the Goan community. “This medical center happens to meet the ever growing need for medical facilities for the citizens of Goa”, he added.
The Additional Collector said there was a long felt need for this kind of a medical care set up in the city.
Wockhardt Medical center is an initiative by NUSI Wockhardt hospital to conveniently cater to the needs of people from in and around Margao city. Experts from the field of cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics and joint replacement, besides urology and nephrology, minimal access surgery and woman care will be available at the medical centre from Monday to Saturday with prior appointments.
Center Head of NUSI Wockhardt Hospital Arvind Bhagania said the centre will be a perfect destination for the super speciality consultation for the people. “As per the vision of Wockhardt hospitals, of making quality healthcare facility available to the common man, we took this initiative of setting up a medical centre. The idea of the centre was to meet the health care demands”, he said, and disclosed plans to have medical centres at Panjim, Dabolim airport and other parts of Goa, besides neighbouring states.
