MARGAO: Nuvem MLA Wilfred D’Sa along with the officials of South Western Railways, Konkan Railway and the people of Utorda, Majorda and Nuvem to inspect the land acquired for railway line double-tracking.
The Nuvem MLA held a discussion with General Manager of South Western Railway S G Banerjee and Sachin Kumar, Section Engineer and decided to jointly inspect and get the land that is acquired demarcated again on Tuesday. “I had inspected earlier and assured the people to find out the demarcated land for acquisition. We will now get it demarcated before the people,” he said.

D’Sa also informed that the land which is newly sought to be acquired will also be demarcated.
The MLA said prima facie that none of the houses are in the land which is sought for the acquisition.
Goencho Ekvott had given a representation to the Nuvem MLA for intervening in the railway line double-tracking issue as huge part of the land falls in his constituency.
