Sawant said that the fresh certificates, on producing all the valid documents, will be issued within two days, from the date of application, while renewals will be done within 24 hours.

He further said that internal conflicts within the community lead to delay in issuing the caste certificate, which is mandatory document for the government to issue the authorised certification. Revenue Minister Babush Monserrate said that on an average, the OBC certificates are issued within 10 days of application.
