According to police reports, the girl was being trafficked for prostitution in the State and police acted on a tip off that the victim was being taken to a place in Anjuna.
The victim’s statement was being recorded by the Victims Assistance Unit, as investigations were underway and she has been sent to the Apna Ghar in Merces.
