All planning and development authorities have begun opening the ODPs, but the SGPDA has decided to take it slow. SGDPA Chairman Rajan Naik said, “The SGPDA has decided to send the ODP back to the local administrations to get it resurveyed and re planned, with inclusions of priority works, like access roads and developments. The plans will be passed according to the TCP Act.”
He added that the SGPDA decided to have the ODP reprocessed to bring in transparency in land use and to avoid favoritism.
Meanwhile, MLA Vijai Sardessai raised the issue of mismanagement of the Osia commercial complex. He suggested that an association be formed to look into the building’s problems.
“The PDA members and I have agreed to make an association of the occupants, create an account and take in money for the building’s maintenance. This is an interim arrangement, but the formation of a society is inevitable,” said Vijai.
