PANJIM: Nila Mahanam has been appointed as Collector of North Goa. Mahanam will replace Mihir Vardhan. Ameya Abhyankar will replace Nikhil Dessai as Director Tourism in the latest transfers that will come in effect from September 4.
Both are from the 2007 IAS batch. Sachin Shinde will also replace F O Hashmi as Inspector General, Prisons.
