PANJIM: The North Goa Districts and Sessions Court acquitted Hemant Shah in the 2021 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act case after two of the witnesses in the case turned hostile.

Shah, who was connected to Sushant Singh Rajput case, was arrested from Morjim and later party drugs were found at his residential flat at Miramar, Panjim.
The court acquitted the accused on Friday. It may be recalled that the Mumbai Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had arrested Anuj Keshwani in drugs peddling case. The NCB had later nabbed Shah from Goa on March 7, 2021 from a shack at Morjim for being the suspected supplier of drugs to Keshwani. The NCB had made two occupants of the flat, who were present in the flat during the search, as witnesses.
