BICHOLIM: Bicholim police arrested one Devanand Bhagwan Gawas from Maharashtra on Monday for misappropriating cash of Rs 6.70 lakh from a caterer.
According to police, they received a complaint from Pradosh Amonkar, proprietor of Amonkar Caterers Bicholim, alleging that the accused used to purchase extra goods required for catering purpose and used to sell them.
He added that the accused had misappropriated cash of Rs 6.70 lakh. Police have booked Gawas under Section 408 of IPC. PSI Suraj Canconkar is investigating the case under the guidance of PI Narayan Chimulkar.
