PONDA: Kishan Umesh Kamat, 21 years old local, from Pandaga-Shiroda died on the spot after suffering head injuries in an accident at Bythokhol–Borim sharp turn, on Friday.
According to the Ponda Police, the goods laden truck was proceeding towards Vasco from Ponda while the Duke Bike rider was proceeding towards Ponda direction from his residence and when reached at Bythokhol-Borim, the accident occurred. The deceased is the youngest in the family and was working in one hotel at Margao. After returning home, he was proceeding towards Ponda when the fatal accident occurred. Ponda Police have registered an offence against truck driver Siddhu for rash driving.
