PONDA: Ovi D’Sa (51), a local from Santo Estevam died in self-accident by the roadside at Musilimwada, Bhoma, on late Thursday night. According to Ponda Police, prima facie it appears to be a self-accident.

As there is no eyewitness to the accident, the police suspect that Ovi might have lost control of his Splendor bike and fell by the roadside. His bike was also found at spot. Due to late night, Ovi could not get medical treatment on time as he was not noticed.
His body was noticed on Friday noon by one passerby and called the police station, informed the police. Police Sub-Inspector Rashmi Baidkar immediately rushed to the spot and conducted the panchanama. Later, the body was sent to Goa Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.
