Mapusa Police on Monday arrested a thief on charges of stealing a camera worth Rs 10,000.
According to Mapusa Police, Jude Pinto alias Savio was moving around Alankar Theatre in a suspicious manner on Monday evening.
After some people noticed him and informed the police, the police team led by Police Sub Inspector Nitin Halarnkar rushed to the site and nabbed Savio.
On interrogation at the police station, Savio confessed that he had stolen a Sony Cyber Shot Camera worth Rs 10,000 from a shop near Mapusa Court a few days ago.
Police arrested him Savio and will produce him before the Judicial Magistrate First class on Tuesday for remand.
