A native from Kerala was seriously injured, while another person escaped with minor injuries, after the car in which they were traveling rammed into an electricity pole at Tamnem-Loliem.
According to Canacona police, Suraj A B, who was proceeding from Mumbai to Kerala in his Hyundai car (MH-03-AM-2661), on reaching Tamnem accidentally, hit an electricity pole.
Suraj damaged one of his hands badly after it got stuck between the compound wall and his car, besides suffering other injuries. He was rushed to Hospicio, Margao.
According to sources, Suraj who is the car owner had taken to the wheels on Wednesday at about 6.30 am, while the driver was seated besides him, who escaped with minor bruises.
The impact was that the electricity pole was broken to pieces and the car went on and rested against the compound wall of a nearby house.
