One rescued at Varca

MARGAO, SEPT 21 Life guards at the Varca beach rescued a native of Mumbai after he went out for swimming despite the beaches being closed for swimming as per government directives.

Life guards at the Varca beach rescued a native of Mumbai after he went out for swimming despite the beaches being closed for swimming as per government directives.
Shailesh Kejadiwal (37) ventured out for swimming in front of the Varca Tower and was soon in distress due to the underwater current. Life guard Nandesh Girap, who was patrolling the beach immediately swam with a rescue board and secured the victim.
Simultaneously, life guard Sarvesh Govekar launched the jet ski and reached the spot and shifted the victim to the shore safely.
