VASCO: Lambasting the State BJP government for “not fulfilling its poll promises” and calling the BJP as the destructive government that Goa ever saw after liberation, Congress MP from Madhya Pradesh Jyotiraditya Scindia on Monday evening claimed that only the Congress would form the next government in Goa and would eliminate drug menace from the State.
He was speaking to reporters after addressing a public meeting of Congress candidate Sankalp Amonkar at Headland Sada in Mormugao. A large number of people attended the meeting which was addressed by Rajya Sabha MP Shantaram Naik, AICC Secretary Girish Chodenkar, former BJP state executive member Shekhar Khadapkar, Sankalp Amonkar and others
“Goa is beautiful, but the BJP government destroyed Goa in last five years. Today unemployment and drug menace is biggest issue and I promise to the people that once congress government comes to power unemployment issue in Goa will be eliminated as congress will provide jobs to every Goans. Also there is need of holistic tourism and not junk tourism and we promise that we will eradicate drug menace in Goa due to which Goa is getting bad name,” he said.
