PANJIM: Congress party on Saturday alleged that the present BJP-led government has utterly failed to fulfill its poll commitments and on the contrary had made attempts to divide Goans on communal lines.
“The noise of achievements is heard, the ground realities are different. It has to its credit 30 months of only promises, without any performance,” Goa Congress Pradesh Committee President Luizinho Faleiro said, while addressing party workers during Chintan Shibir.
Faleiro said that till date, Goa has no full fledged State Information Commission no Lokayukta, has failed to notify the RP2021 and there is big question mark over when the mining operations would re-start.
Furtado to be Cong’s pick
PANJIM:The Congress is likely to officially announce its candidate for Panjim Assembly by-election in a day or two, with indications that it may be Corporation of the City of Panaji Mayor Surendra Furtado, who has emerged at the front runner for the party nomination, given his track record, in comparison to others.
