VASCO: A driver was seriously injured and three others suffered injuries when an over-speeding vehicle collided against three cars near Cortalim junction on Thursday.
The accident occurred when a speeding SUV collided against three other vehicles seriously injuring a driver after his vehicle overturned with the impact while, three tourists from another vehicle received injuries.

The speeding vehicle was proceeding from Panjim to Dabolim airport to pick customers, who had already arrived at the airport, while, other vehicles were heading towards Panjim, the Verna police said. The over-speeding vehicle later rammed into a roadside mobile tower.
All the injured were immediately rushed to the Goa medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim, where injured driver Yamnappa Hiremath of Upasnagar, Sancoale was undergoing treatment while, the three other injured were discharged.
The Verna police conducted the panchanama and have registered a case against the SUV driver Ram Saroj, a native of Jharkhand and currently residing at Candolim for rash and reckless driving. Head Constable Umesh H Naik is conducting further investigations.
