Owner of Calangute resort murdered

CALANGUTE: The owner of a resort at Saunta Vaddo-Calangute was allegedly murdered by his 48-year-old son over property dispute in the hotel premises late Monday night.

CALANGUTE: The owner of a resort at Saunta Vaddo-Calangute was allegedly murdered by his 48-year-old son over property dispute in the hotel premises late Monday night.
Calangute Police have arrested the son, Deepak Lutra, for allegedly murdering his father, Shyam (79).
According to PRO of Goa Police John Aguiar, Deepak allegedly murdered his father between 10.30 pm and 11.30 pm on Monday over a property dispute.
The Calangute Police team led by PI Nilesh Rane rushed to the site and sent the body for post-mortem after an inquest panchanama was conducted. PI Rane is investigating the case.
The source further informed that there was a quarrel between the son and father before the incident took place. Incidentally, the father-son duo had a quarrel a couple of days back, likely over property dispute.
When this scribe reached the Sun City Resort at 7 am, the Calangute police force led by LPSI Devyani Naik was at the site. The main entrance gate of the resort was found closed. 
Calangute Police Inspector Nilesh Rane was not contactable, while DySP Porvorim Raikar told this reporter to obtain details from PRO of Goa Police.
