Panjim: Voting for the Corporation of the City of Panjim (CCP) wards recorded an overall 47.84% voter turnout between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm, according to the official polling report.
Out of a total electorate of 32,496 voters, comprising 15,225 male voters and 17,271 female voters, a total of 15,546 votes were cast during the polling period. This included 7,382 male voters and 8,164 female voters who exercised their franchise across the city’s wards.

Polling was conducted across 30 wards of the corporation, with most wards having one or two polling stations. The voting process was reported to be largely smooth across locations such as Dona Paula, Caranzalem, Miramar, Campal, St Inez, Altinho, Mala, Patto, Ribandar and other areas within the Panjim municipal limits.
Among the wards, Ward XXIII recorded one of the highest voter turnouts at 56.22%, followed closely by Ward XII with 56.07% and Ward XIV with 53.56%. Ward XXVIII also witnessed a strong turnout of 54.66%, indicating relatively higher voter participation in these areas.
On the other hand, Ward III reported the lowest turnout at 38.55%, while Ward V recorded 40.26% and Ward XXV registered 40.20%, reflecting comparatively lower participation in those wards.
Several polling stations saw moderate participation. For instance, wards such as Ward I recorded 52.33% turnout, Ward II 50.50%, Ward IX 50.66%, and Ward XIX 51.68%, indicating balanced voter engagement in many parts of the city.
Polling stations were set up at various educational institutions and government offices, including Government Primary and High School at Dona Paula, National Institute of Water Sports at Caranzalem, Dhempe College at Miramar, Goa College of Home Science at Campal, Dr T.B. Cunha Higher Secondary School, PWD offices at St Inez, and several government schools and administrative buildings across Panjim and Ribandar.
Authorities monitored the voting process throughout the morning hours, and polling proceeded peacefully with voters turning up steadily at different booths across the city.
Officials are expected to release further updates as polling progresses and final turnout figures become available later in the day.
