Panjim Police have arrested five persons in connection with the alleged kidnapping of two individuals at knifepoint, assaulting them, stealing their valuables, and extorting ₹40,000.
The accused have been identified as Shoibh Baig of Taleigao, Akash of Bambolim, Javed Ballari and Zakiulla Khazi of Caranzalem, and Kalpesh of Ribandar.

According to police, the five allegedly abducted the victims at knifepoint before subjecting them to physical assault. The accused are also alleged to have robbed the victims of their valuables and extorted ₹40,000 from them.
A case has been registered, and the accused have been taken into custody. Police are continuing their investigation to ascertain the full sequence of events and determine whether any other individuals were involved in the crime.
