As the Session began on Monday morning, the Leader of the Opposition Pratapsingh Rane, legislators Digambar Kamat, Rohan Khaunte and Vijai Sardesai put forth their plea seeking necessary and immediate rectifications to the e-assembly system.
“There is a delay in receiving the replies of the questions and hence we don’t get time to study it and present them in the House,” Khaunte said raising point of order.
“Even if one MLA doesn’t get the questions and replies are asked for by another MLA, it leaves us in a confused state. An immediate solution in this regard is required,” Rane pointed out.
Responding to queries, Speaker Anant Shet said that he will call for a meeting of the legislators and work out a solution.
The then Speaker Rajendra Arlekar had, in the Monsoon Session in 2014 introduced a full-fledged paperless Assembly Session, wherein all the questions and answers along with attachments were uploaded on the Assembly website.
