A viral video from Bhopal Junction has sparked controversy after a passenger accused railway booking staff of unfair practices during Tatkal ticket issuance. The clip shows a heated exchange between a man standing in a token-based queue and a female ticket clerk, whom he alleges bypassed the queue system to serve a suspected agent ahead of waiting passengers.
The passenger, visibly agitated and recording the interaction, questions why certain individuals were repeatedly prioritised across multiple ticket categories, including Sleeper and AC classes. He claims that brokers were being favoured inside the reservation system, raising concerns of collusion between staff and ticket agents. In the video, he accuses the clerk of malpractice and threatens to escalate the matter by tagging senior railway officials on social media, including the Railway Minister and the Divisional Railway Manager.
The clerk, however, denies the allegations and counters by accusing the passenger of misconduct during the confrontation. The situation quickly escalated, drawing attention online after being shared on X, where users demanded clarification and action.
The post accompanying the video alleges a nexus between staff and agents, calling for strict action and tighter regulation of ticket booking processes. The incident has reignited debate over transparency and fairness in Tatkal bookings, prompting public scrutiny of railway reservation counters and their functioning
