Most of the injured passengers of the ill-fated bus that met with an accident at Vijaynagar-Karapur, Sanquelim, were discharged on Tuesday.
According to Bicholim PI Harish Madkaikar, some patients who were shifted to GMC Hospital have been discharged, while a few are still undergoing treatment.
Most of the injured passengers, who were admitted to Bicholim and Sanquelim Primary Health Centres, have also been discharged, except for few who are still undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, Bicholim Police is likely to book an offence against the bus owner for rash and negligent driving, which resulted in death of Kalpana Tulshidas Kerkar (Rawan-Poriem), who was working at sales tax office in Bicholim, and bus driver Daulatrao Rane.
The final rites of both the deceased were held on Tuesday evening at their respective local crematoriums.
“An offence will be registered on the basis of statements given by the passengers, who have held the bus driver and conductor responsible for the mishap,” informed PI Madkaikar.
