Meeting organised by the Agriculture Dept at Pernem Zonal Agriculture Office on Monday, to take inputs on Goa agriculture policy witnessed chaos as the authorities were not prepared to handle the large crowd that gathered to attend the meeting.
Many farmers who came to attend the meeting left the venue in protest. They complained that the arrangements including sitting arrangement, sound system etc were grossly mismanaged.

Agriculture Dept official said that they had kept the meeting at the ZAO based on response at other venues. He added that the crowd at the meeting was more than that expected by the authorities and that led to the chaos. The meeting was later continued at Pernem Taluka Hall.
