PERNEM: Pernem Police on Monday arrested Abraham Augustin Ernakulam, a native of Kerala, for stealing a mobile phone worth Rs 25,000.

According to the police, Francisco Fernandes, resident of Mandrem, registered a complaint at the Pernem Police Station stating that an unknown person has committed theft of his mobile phone kept in the scooter while parked in the parking area, at Ashvek Automobiles, Pernem.
Acting on the complaint, the police carried out the investigations and the CCTV footages were accessed of the parking area. Finally, based on electronic surveillance, the accused person, who was identified as Abraham Augustin Ernakulam, a native of Kerala, was nabbed.
A case has been registered under Section 379 of Indian Penal Court. Later, the police recovered the stolen mobile phone worth Rs 25,000.
