Certain areas of Campal, from Kala Academy to Fire station St Inez, and interior areas are yet to be connected to the STP. Some few pockets near Neogi nagar are also to be connected to the sewerage treatment plant.

The plan is to lay a bigger diameter line to cater to the future requirements, Dhavalikar said. He said that the PWD will also want to replace all pump stations numbering around eight. While there have been complaints of foul stench emanating near the pumping stations, the PWD has said that presently all the pumps are functioning smoothly but are in need of replacements.
