VASCO: In a fire incident that reported in the complaint section office of electricity department office in Sancoale, goods and equipments worth Rs 2 lakh were gutted.
According to reports, the fire broke out at around 2 am on Saturday and all electrical goods including those that were recently procured for pre monsoon works by this section office were gutted in the fire. Luckily the fire was doused before it could spread to the neighboring Sancoale Panchayat office building.
The fire has left the electricity department staff without any space to sit or operate. The electricity department has now requested the Sancoale Panchayat authorities to provide them alternate space for operations.
