PANJIM: The registering of Siddhi Naik’s death by the police should now pave way for proper investigation and should not be just an eye wash, said Sandeep Naik, father of late Siddhi Naik said on Saturday.
“We got to know from DGP (Indradev) Shukla that murder case has been registered. Now proper investigation has to happen. It should not be an eye wash,” Sandeep Naik said.
“Twice we asked for information under RTI, but we were not provided with any details and forced to run around. We want it to be thoroughly investigated. There is possibility that any minister, MLA or any influential person may be involved, that is why the case was not moving.
“We have doubt on the doctors and few police officials. Proper inquiry of doctors involved in this case should be conducted. Till now we have not got justice. But now since the case is registered, we hope for justice. We will not give up on any cost,” the father asserted.
