Margao: The Crime Branch (CB) on Wednesday night arrested a woman for allegedly operating a prostitution racket in Siolim. During the raid which followed a tip off from a reliable informant, the CB team also reached two girls who were brought to the village to be handed over to prospective customers.
“We have rescued the girls and lodged them in Protective Home, and arrested the woman pimp,” said an Officer. This is the second raid in less than a week as the Calangute police had also conducted a raid in the tourist popular coastal belt. The Calangute police arrested Samrat Phoolsingh, and rescued two girls.
