On September 15, the Quepem Police seized 295 grams of greenish leafy substance suspected to be ganja, valued at approximately Rs 25,000, near Devumol Sirvoi, Quepem, Goa.
The accused, 27-year-old Sawan Bhaduri Chan from Bajhang, Nepal, was taken into custody for illegal possession of the contraband under the NDPS Act.

The seizure and arrest were carried out between 6:30 and 8:20 hours, with formal arrest recorded at 22:52 hours by the Investigation Officer, PSI Rifa Bareatto. The case is now under further investigation.
